Abstract Some general considerations on the barometric formula for a heavy MFD plasma, both under the barotropic condition and not, are made. For the isotherm case some examples are given in which the magnetic field insure the equilibrium of an isotherm heavy MFD plasma, both for conservative and non conservative magnetic forces, and the corresponding barometric formulae are explicity given.
