**Abstract**
Let us consider, in the Euclidean space E^{3}, a lattice R of equidistant parallel planes at a distance a and a convex "test body" T having diameter d with d < a. In this paper we investigate the probability that T intersects R. By the help of a result due to Duma and Stoka [**3**], if T is a spherical zone or a cone over a cylinder (a pencil), the above probability is calculated.
