Abstract: The word "theorem" is introduced in school for 13 years old students, often without important details, the same happen for "definition". In this way the word assumes a sort of magical meaning. The paper sketches a short history of the concept starting from Greek philosophers and mathematicians arriving to XX-century. Some points of view of mathematics education for the theorem's learning are treated.
